I shall begin this blog with the recipe I am making today: Vanilla-bean Star Cookies. For this recipe I actually had to scrape the seeds of a vanilla bean into the dough, which is very similar to a sugar cookie dough. The vanilla smells fabulous and the scent still lingers on my fingers, delicious! In a couple minutes the cookies will be done and we will see if they taste as good as they smell.
The verdict? Fabulous.

The Beginning
So, hello everyone!! I have been meaning to creat a blog of my baking escapades for a while now, but until recently, haven't been motivated enough to do it. My motivational catalyst finally appeared in the form of Julie and Julia, great film by the way! Anyway, the show has inspired me to catalog my baking experiences and adventures. And so it begins...
